Facility
tour of Courtice Water Pollution Control Plant
The
Water Environment Association of Ontario's (WEAO) New Professionals
(NP) Committee
is pleased to offer a facility tour of Courtice Water Pollution
Control Plant, located in Courtice
(Oshawa/Bowmanville), Ontario. Courtice is a brand-new $90-million
wastewater treatment
plant with a capacity of 68 ML/d. The tour will focus on the liquid
train, including influent screens,
primary clarifiers, activated sludge biological treatment, secondary
clarifiers, and disinfection.
Before the tour, Mike Elliott and Steve Robson of CH2M HILL will
give a brief overview of the
Courtice plant and its recent construction.

The Water Environment Association of Ontario’s
(WEAO) New Professionals (NP) Committee is teaming up with Ontario Water Work Association’s (OWWA) Young Professionals (YP) Committee to offer a joint social event at the
Woodbine Beach in Toronto. The event includes beach
volleyball and other fun activities in the afternoon, pre-dinner
refreshment and dinner at a nearby pub. See the flyer below for detailed information and reservation contacts.
