COMMITTEE
The Communications
Committee is responsible to providing value to WEAO members and raising
the profile of the organization through effective communication of
information to members and the public. The communication of information
is accomplished primarily by publishing the WEAO magazine 'INFLUENTS',
distribution of an e-Newsletter, and by maintaining the WEAO web site.

INFLUENTS upcoming theme
Fall 2010 - Disinfection
Submission date: Friday, August 6
This issue will discuss chlorination, dechlorination, UV and other
methods of disinfection.
Future INFLUENTS themes
Note: Themes or theme order are subject to change
Winter 2010 - Grand River and Lake Simcoe – Watersheds Under Stress
Submission date: Friday, November 5
This issue will focus on the issues behind new legislation and future
effluent limits in theses two watersheds.
Spring 2011 - Pumps and Pump Station Design
Submission date: Friday, TBA
Pumping is the largest energy user for water treatment and the second
(to aeration) in wastewater. This issue will focus on the design of pump
stations and how to reduce the cost of pumping.
Summer 2011 - Chemicals use in wastewater treatment
