About Us

Ryerson University Student Chapter of WEAO is an organization whose main goal is to promote student's interest in water environment and to enhance the professional development of its members through communication with other members of WEAO. Ryerson Student Chapter aims to foster student's awareness about the field of water and wastewater by coordinating seminars, industrial site tours, networking events, etc. We hope to familiarize students from all science and engineering disciplines with our chapter and inform them of the challenges that our water and wastewater environment is faced with today. Our Activities

The Ryerson Student Chapter plan for 2009-2010 academic year includes:

• Hosting technical seminars and workshops with a wide range of topics that encompass the water and wastewater treatment industry

• Holding monthly steering committee meetings to organize upcoming events

• Attending the WEAO 39th Annual Conference in June 2010 and WEFTEC water quality in October 2009

• Plant visits of water/wastewater treatment facilities
