Residuals & Biosolids Resources

Residuals and biosolids are by-products from the production, processing or treatment of various products that can be used as a soil amendment or a source of energy, as opposed to being disposed of as a waste. Examples of residuals and biosolids include by-products from the food industry and the treatment of wastewater that meet quality standards. Strict regulations apply to the management of these by-products. Click on the boxes below to learn more about the beneficial use of residuals and biosolids.
